Registration

Conditions for registration

Registration is now possible for the Botanik-Tagung 2026 through a conference management software called Conftool. To access this please click the following button. First you are asked to set up a simple user account. Then you can register for the conference. Please double check all relevant personal data (esp. e-mail addresses to avoid bounces) before saving and submitting.

Note that you need to be registered for the conference to be able to submit an abstract in a second step.

Early bird: 30 April 2026

Standard registration: 1 May – 28 Aug 2026 (after that on-site fees will apply)

Abstract submission: until 31 May 2026

Notification of acceptance/status: end of June / early July 2026

*(PhD) Students will need to upload a proof of their status – i. e. student ID card, excerpt from confirmation of enrolment, or similar – during the registration process. So please make sure to have this at hand.

The fees can be paid either by credit card (using the payment portal Stripe) or by bank transfer.

Day tickets can be issued upon request in exceptional cases.

Information on side events like the icebreaker on Sunday, the networking event on Wednesday, workshops and field trips, are available on the page “side events”.

Terms of registration and payment

• The registration of participation is binding.
• If you have to cancel the registration, you get 80% back until 30 days before the start of the event. In all other cases, the financial responsibilities of the participants remain fully effective.
• The participation fees are owed upon registration and are payable within 7 days following submission of the registration (but not later than 7 days before the starting day of the event).
• Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received.
• The conference program may be subject to changes.
• Payments will be refunded if the conference will be canceled by the organiser. In that case, the organiser will have no further liability to the client. Registrations remain valid if the conference has to be postponed.

Payment

Note that you have to be registered for the conference before you can submit an abstract.

Payments by credit card normally go through automatically (via the payment provider Stripe). For bank transfers it can take up to 4 working days after the transfer arrived at the conference account until the payment gets entered into Conftool and submission is possible. Please consider this if you need to submit your abstract late.
