Welcome to Bonn

The city on the Rhine with its more than 2000 years of history has many faces. Historical sights, art highlights in the houses of Bonn's museum mile, atmospheric impressions along the romantic Rhine,
the international Bonn, the political Bonn and much more.

At first, music comes to almost everyone's mind when talking about Bonn as a city of culture. The legacy of Ludwig van Beethoven, who was born here in 1770, is an obligation. But Bonn's tradition as a theater city also goes back a long way to the time of the electors. Since 1971, the "Bonn Summer" has presented culture from all over the world in Bonn's city center, often outdoors on the market square. The Museum Mile is Bonn's main attraction for people interested in art and culture from all over the world.

With the Bonn Art Museum, the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany, the German Museum Bonn, the House of the History of the Federal Republic of Germany and the zoological research institute and museum Alexander Koenig, an impressive cultural landscape has also been created in the heart of the city.

During your stay, you can get to know the city best on one of the numerous city tours or sightseeing tours .
